The Biochemistry Club is an academic organization that welcomes students of all majors! Our goal is to teach our members about the applications of biochemistry while exposing them to the many opportunities available at Virginia Tech and upon graduation.

Our meetings consist of guest speakers, professional school tours, lab tours, MCAT/GRE prep, and much more!

Our organization is also big on volunteering. We run a Science Club program every Friday afternoon at Prices Fork and Kipps Elementary Schools. During this program we do science experiments with the kids and show them the joy behind science. Along with that, we also participate in The Big Event, Relay for Life, and other community events. For more information about the clubs events please check out our volunteer page.

While biochemists like to work hard, we also like to have fun! Our club has several social events throughout the semester such as dinners, hiking, etc.

Overall the Biochemistry Club is a great way to meet other students in your major and is a good way to develop connections. Thank you for considering our organization and if you have any questions please feel free to contact any of our officers!
